Silver Sands sits on the coast just west of Lossiemouth, above the beach on the Moray Firth.
The coastline here runs west towards Burghead in a series of dunes, cliffs and caves, and the walking straight from the park is the main event.
A local day out: Covesea Lighthouse and the Sculptor's Cave coast
A working-era lighthouse on the cliff above the park, open for tower tours in season, with a view along the whole firth. The coast below runs to a series of caves, including the Sculptor's Cave with its Pictish carvings, which is only safely reachable at low tide and is best treated as something to look at from the path rather than an expedition.
